About Art for Mutual Aid DC
Art for Mutual Aid DC was a digital art print fundraiser for the DC Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network. The fundraiser was live for the month of August 2020. With the generous donation of images by talented DMV area artists, we raised over $8,000 for our community.
About DC Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network
The DC Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network is a grassroots volunteer effort to support our neighbors and communities hardest hit by the COVID-19 crisis. The network is being coordinated by Capitol Hill Arts Workshop’s long-time program partner Serve Your City along with grassroots organizers and community-based Black and Brown-led organizations including Momma's Safe Haven, the TraRon Center, Brotha's Huddle, Training Ground Inc, and more than a dozen other groups. Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is participating in the network by serving as a collection point for food donations and art supplies and a hub for distribution out of our basement.
